MARRIAGE COaching

Find the Personalized Help You Need

We all need help from time to time. Having a support system for your marriage can make all the difference. Our trained and experienced marriage coaches provide care and assistance to guide you through the challenges in your relationship. All too often, we think we can navigate the difficult times alone. Our coaches will help your marriage to succeed by teaching skills to help you handle conflict, meet each other’s needs, and strengthen your bond.

When you and your spouse begin marriage coaching, our focus will be on helping you achieve your marriage goals. Our marriage coaches can look at your relationship with a fresh perspective and help you chart a course to reach those goals. You will be equipped for a lifetime with the tools that will create a shared understanding between you and your spouse and most importantly, how to work together to enhance your marital bond.  â€‹â€‹

Coaching Versus Counseling:  What's the Difference?

Counseling is typically performed by therapists, counselors, and other clinicians who have graduate degrees, certifying credentials, and state licenses to provide therapeutic counseling techniques to their clients.  Counseling typically addresses deeper-rooted issues around areas like trauma, addiction, and infidelity. Counseling often focuses on past issues in your development that require deep, individual therapy to understand and overcome.

Coaching focuses on creating current awareness of the challenges in your marriage by facilitating and guiding discussions between spouses using the tools and techniques we teach in Live the Life's critically acclaimed workshops.  Our coaches are trained and credentialed in our programs and work with you to improve key elements of communication, conflict resolution, and connection. They also bring their own marriage experiences and how they have navigated challenges that you may be experiencing in your own marriage.

Which is BEST for US? Renowned licensed psychologist and author of more than 20 books, Dr. Steve Stephens, says that 70% of his clients could benefit from coaching and do not need a licensed counselor. We recommend that most folks try coaching first. We have a Texas-licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) on staff who advises all of our coaches; she can help you determine if your needs are beyond coaching and refer you to the proper care you require.  â€‹
